Landscape Artist Renderings For Your Home
When a homeowner is looking to brighten up a room with a print or painting of some sort, typically they are looking at paintings from a landscape artist. Unless they are very well off these landscaping prints are usually reproductions of some sort. There is nothing wrong with using a reproduction at all especially if it is a high quality piece of art from the likes of Claude Monet, John Constable, or even Camille Pissaro.
When many artists first start out commercially they more often than not choose to do landscapes. They will get outside for inspiration, trying to be in touch with nature to create something that makes you feel like your are relaxing outside as you gaze at it. This type of painting has its' roots way back many years ago to when the first Impressionists like Monet and Renoir would take their supplies out into the countryside to create their works.
Many cultures around the world also have their own tradition of landscape painting. Such western cultures as the United States, England, and France have very deep roots in the history of the landscape artist. Likewise, Japan has two famous artists from the 19th century called Hiroshige and Hokusai who were known for painting vivid images of the ocean and forests. Today, modern artists don't focus as much on landscape painting as in the past or at least not the traditional landscaping. You will see some urban scenes mixed in to reflect the growing city populations around the world.
The popular Dutch painters Rembrandt (1606-1669) and Vermeer (1632-1675) were the very first of the European landscape artists to paint the sea. It seems like the sky and water have been recurring themes for artists going way back in history. The English landscape artist JMW Turner is best known for his stormy skies and seascapes as his later paintings blurred the sea and the horizon together. This was his way of pointing the way to abstract paintings of the future. Monet was someone who would perfect his technique of depicting water by sitting in a rowing boat on a river, allowing him to get as near to it as possible.
One thing that is certain is the typical homeowner is still interested in landscapes, especially ones that reflect their personal tastes. These renditions may bring back some memories of the past such as the farm they grew up on or the large pond in their backyard. Reflection is usually something that people enjoy doing from time to time. Hang a landscape painting or reproduction from your favorite artist in your home to lighten the theme.
